HENRY W. HOCK
Henry W. Hock, 86, of 470 Ridgeland, died at 4:05 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Park Nursing and Convalescent home.
Born Feb. 7, 1880 in Anna, Ill., he attended Valparaiso university and Dodge Telegraphy school. On Nov. 16, 1904, in Anna, he married the former Adah Freeze, who survives.
He was a charter member and faithful worker in Calvary Baptist church and was employed as an agent by the Grand Trunk railroad for 52 years. He retired seven years ago.
Surviving besides the widow are one daughter, Mrs. Verneeta Struble of Cleveland; two granddaughters, Mrs. Barbara Manning of Chicago and Mrs. Patty Hall of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Clinton of Milan, Kan., and John of Energy, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Bradley of Warrenton, Mo., Mrs. Jenny Cooper of Carbondale, Ill., and Mrs. Zoe Shipley of Shreveport, La.; four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Clarence Henderlong of Valparaiso is a niece.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Baptist church with the Rev. R. Dean Wisehart officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call at Bartholomew Funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.
