VARDAMAN- Bonnie Martin Naron, 94, died Thurs., Mar, 3, 2011, at the Trace Regional Medical Center in Houston, MS. She was born May 1, 1916 in Calhoun County, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Vardaman First Baptist Church, where she was in Merry Hearts. She was a member of Calhoun County Homemakers Club. She loved her church and was very active when she could be.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Vardaman with the Rev. Dale Easley officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman. Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Vardaman is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Daphna (Paul) Cook of Vardaman, Patsy Lence (Jackie) of Ripley and Bettie Wright of Vardaman; one sister, Mery Ruth Johnson of Houston; one brother, Dale Martin of Leland; 10 grandchildren, Gayle Stafford, Jan Houston, Jeff Wright, Andy Yarbrough, Martin "Buck" Yarbrough, Terri Stanford, Traci Cook, Kim Hardy, Mitzi Baecher and Blake Cook; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ira Naron; her parents, Mike C. Martin and Addie Mae Hardin Martin; three sister, Bernice Castleman, Pearl Malone and Ann Edwards; and seven brothers, Felix Martin, Manley Martin, Wayne Martin, James Martin, Paul Martin, Mike Martin, Jr. and Charles Martin.
Pallbearers will be Martin "Buck" Yarbrough, Jeff Wright, Andy Yarbrough, Kevin Stafford, John Stafford and Don Stafford.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Vardaman First Baptist Church.
