Dies At Age 73
William Reichstadt 73 years old who resided on the German road Inver Grove township passed away Saturday evening a the West Side General Hospital. He had been ill for the past three and one-half years and was confined to the hospital most of that time.

He was born on August 27, 1875, on a farm in Inver Grove township and lived in this community all his life. He attended district school and was a member of the Salem Methodist church.
In 1903 he and his family moved to South St. Paul where he was employed by the St. Paul Union Stockyards company until 1905. In 1905 Mr. Reichstadt with his family moved back to the family farm in Inver Grove township and he operated the farm until he became ill in 1944.
Mr. Reichstadt was united in marriage with Miss Theresa M. Fritz on February 22, 1900, in St. Paul.
He was a member of the district school board for 15 years and of the Twin City Milk Producers association.
Survivors are his widow, six sons, five daughters. 44 grandchildren and one sister.
The sons and daughters are: Gilbert J. of Center City, Howard W. of St. Paul Park, Roy A. of Inver Grove township and Arthur M. of Inver Grove village. Arnold L. of South St. Paul, Elmer A. of Inver Grove township, Mrs. Herman Schmidt of Cottage Grove, Mrs. George Barren of St. Paul, Mrs. Ernest Rohlf of South St. Paul, Mrs. Clarence Pietsch of Inver Grove township and Mrs. Peter Taurinskas of Newport. A sister, Mrs. Mary Wilhelmy of South St. Paul also survives.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the Salem Methodist church in Inver Grove township. The remains were at the church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. A family service was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the English Funeral home, 140 Eighth avenue north, with Rev. George Williams, pastor, officiating at both services. Six nephews will serve as bearers. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery - So. St. Paul Daily Reporter. 26 Nov 1948 Dakota County Tribune
