Final funeral services for Lt. Fletcher Barnes were held March 17, 1950, in Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Louisville, Ky.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Barnes of near New Paris, Ohio. He was graduated from Jefferson High School at New Paris in 1941 and formerly was a printer at the Eaton Bulletin.

Lt. Barnes was killed Sept. 12, 1944 on his 16th aerial mission over Hanover, Germany.

Other than the parents, survivors include a brother, Everett.
