Blanche Pierson Hulse, 90, daughter of Samuel Levi and Ellen Areta Stevenson Pierson, died January 24, 1990 at her home in Holladay, Utah.

Born September 13, 1899 in Plymouth, Utah during grain harvest, the 7th child of 14 children. The family returned shortly after her birth to Daniels, Idaho. She married Warren Wesley Hulse, of Cache Valley on July 31, 1929 in Salt Lake City. They lived in Magna, Utah, where Warren was employed by Kennecott Copper. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on January 18, 1934. Warren and Blanche moved to Salt Lake City in July 1971. Warren died on January 22, 1973. Blanche was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Magna 1st Ward, Oquirrh Stake, as teacher and counselor in the Primary organziation; and as Relief Society Quilt Director for more than twenty years. She was also active in genealogical and temple work. She served in the Primary in Cottonwood 10th ward, Big Cottonwood Stake for several years; and was recognized for her length of service in that organization during her lifetime.


She is survived by twin daughters and a step-daughter: Dale M. and Ilene Hulse Anderson, and two grandchildren, Brent D. (serving an LDS France-Paris Mission) and Cherie Anderson, of Salt Lake City; Theodore (Ted) and Irene Hulse Mitchell, of Salt Lake City, six step-granddaughters, eighteen step-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-granddaughters. Odvar and Etta Hulse Troseth, Bear River City, four step-grandchildren, and twelve step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Warren Keith Troseth.


Also surviving are three sisters and one brother: Astore Wright, Sandy; Myrtle Bruce, West Valley City; Leah Jenkins, Arizona; Friedman and Juanita Pierson, Midvale, Utah. Preceded in deth by three brothers and six sisters.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 1990 at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood 10th Ward Chapel, 4930 South Westmoor Road (1650 East). Friends may call on Friday evening, January 26, 1990 from 6-8 p.m at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Boulevard (7700 South) and on Saturday one hour prior to services at the Ward Chapel.
Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens, Millcreek Township.
