Son of Conrad/Coonrod "Cooney" Adams and Mary "Polly" Houk (some sources give "Hawk"). Coonrad Adams born North Carolina about 1770 and died in Crawford (now Phelps) County Missouri in 1835. Most of his family came to Missouri around the 1830's. While most of this family is buried in the Phelps and Dent Counties area, not all of their graves have been located.
Andrew Adams married Mary "Polly" Malone (sister of Thomas C. Malone) in Washington County Kentucky, 24 Jan. 1829; relocated to Missouri about 1834.

Mary "Polly" Adams [b. 15 Sept. 1834, d. 17 Jan. 1914; married Enoch Elisha Bell (1839-1918) on 24 Feb. 1859; both buried Bell Cemetery near Seaton, Phelps Co., MO];

William T. Adams [b. 18 Oct. 1839, d. 4 Oct. 1889; mar. Lucinda Adams; buried Morrison Cemetery, Dent County, Missouri]. Find a Grave contributor Lundi Belleau adds: William T. Adams married Lucinda "Francis" Adams. She was the daughter of William R. Adams and his first wife, Lucinda Ellen Bates. I have it noted that William T. was born in Missouri after Andrew and Mary removed there.

Henry Adams [b. ca. 1844; married Sally Scott and Sally Ann Hensley].

It is believed that Andrew Adams had a brother named William Adams, born 1808 and died 18 August 1885 in Sligo, Dent Co., Missouri. William Adams was married to Charlotte Malone, a sister of his brother Andrew's wife, Mary "Polly" Malone. Charlotte Malone was born Washington Co., Kentucky in 1808 and was lasted noted living in Rolla Township, Phelps Co., Missouri on the census of 1860; she is believed to have died after 1862.
