Robert Jefferson Mecum, 75, native of Michigan and a resident of Chico at various times over a period of many years, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Emma Moritz, 422 Hickory street, Sunday morning. Surviving besides the sister are the following children: L.J. Mecum of Portland; Frank and Bert Mecum of Remote, Ore., and Mrs. Elinor Ross. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Westfall funeral home."
