OBITUARY:
Services for Mrs. Nora E. Shearer, 89, of Inglewood, Calif., formerly of Des Moines, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Merle Hay Funeral Home, with burial in Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Shearer died Tuesday in Four Palms Convalescent Hospital at Inglewood after a long illness.
She was born near Hubbard, lived in Des Moines from 1946 to 1954 and in central Iowa for a total of 69 years. She was a member of Royal Neighbors Lodge and the Methodist Church in Inglewood.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Vera Brady of Inglewood and Mrs. Thelma Hall of Boone; three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
