BRIDGEPORT, ILL. - - Ralph R. Stealey, 86, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bridgeport Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 18, 1891, in Middleburn, W. Va., to James and Anna Roush Stealey. He married Margaret Taggert, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge. He was retired from Southwestern Oil and Gas Company.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Murphy, Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Esther Mitchell, New Lennox; three brothers, Everett, Cleveland, Ohio, Lloyd, Claremont, and Paul , Bridgeport; one sister, Mrs. Edith Smith, Middleburg, W. Va.; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services for Ralph Stealey will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport with the Rev. Nathan Althoff officiating. Burial will be in the Bridgeport City Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
