Frank A. Lathrop, 55, died suddenly today at 5:30 a.m. at his home, 529 North Hancock street. He had been suffering from heart illness.

Mr. Lathrop was an employee of the Ottumwa Iron Works, formerly had been a street car conductor and carpenter. He was the son of Harrison Tyler and Nancy Kerr Lathrop and was born in Wapello county May 23, 1885.

He had lived in Wapello county all his life, the last 32 years in Ottumwa. He was married to Elsie Sales March 25, 1908.

Surviving are his wife, Elsie; sons, Harvey of Ottumwa and Ralph of Ottawa, Iowa; grandchildren, Bobby and Charlene Lathrop of Ottumwa and Phillip Dean Lathrop of Ottawa; brother, Luther of Ottumwa, and sister, Mrs. Clara Byrum of Blakesburg and Mrs. Anna Roseman of Carbon Cliff, Ill.
He was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, three brothers and three sisters. The body is at Johnson funeral chapel.

Lathrop Services
Services for Frank Lathrop, who died at his home 529 North Hancock street, Monday, will be held in the Pentecostal church, Chruch street, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.
