Anna Bennett - JOHNSON CITY
Anna Bennett, 78, 2500 Wynn Drive, Johnson City, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in the NHC Healthcare, Garden City, South Carolina.
Mrs. Bennett was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Jason and Sally Mosley Bryant. In addition to her parents three brothers, Claude, Luther and Robert Bryant, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a member of the Brumitts Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, George Bennett of the home; one son, David Michael Bennett and his wife Sally of South Carolina; one brother, Bass Bryant of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Pauline Buchanan, Estell Buchanan both of Johnson City and Helen Greene of Marion, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Brad Bennett of Greensboro, North Carolina and Chad Bennett of Johnson City; three step grandchildren, Jason, Rodney and James O'Bryant all of Greensboro, North Carolina; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Anna Bennett will be conducted at 7 PM Friday, November 14, 2008, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Paul Bennett will officiate.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday, November 15, 2008, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Brad Bennett, Chad Bennett, Fred Whitson, JD Whitson, Todd Bohon and Mike Query. Family and friends will meet at the funeral chapel at 9:30 AM Saturday to go in procession.
The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 7 PM Friday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, 207 North Boone Street, Johnson City, Tn 37604 or Winyah Community Hospice Care, 5182 Unit A Horry Drive, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina 29576
