Death Claims Ruby Cleo Jones
Mrs. Ruby Cleo Jones, 61, native and life-long resident of San Bernardino, died yesterday following hospitalization of two months. Prior to her illness she resided with her daughter, Mrs. Mildred C. Burman, 423 East Orange street.
Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Clark, who came to San Bernardino in a covered-wagon train. She was born at the Clark family home at what is now Base line and H street.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Silver Wave chapter O.E.S., Native Daughters and the Pioneer society.
Besides Mrs. Burman, Mrs. Jones is survived by a son, Vernon C. Jones of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Grace English of San Bernardino, and a brother, Fay Clark of Missoula, Mont. Five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Stephens & Bobbitt chapel, with interment to follow in Pioneer cemetery.
