Obituary:
Cecil Thomas Parker, 70, of 141 N. Ditzler, Independence, died Saturday at the Independence Sanitarium. He was born in Sabastian County, Arkansas and lived in this area 54 years. Mr. Parker was a sheet metal worker for the Bendix Corp 23 years before he retired in 1974. He was a member of the Pittman Road Church of God, Independence. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rita E. Parker, of the home; two sons, Harvey Parker, Sugar Creek and Gayle Parker, Gain Valley; two brothers, Marvin Parker, Rayville, Missouri and Bert Parker, Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Brown, Richmond, Missouri and Elvie Manning, Kansas City; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 A.M., Tuesday, at the church and at 2 P.M. at the graveside at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Richmond, Missouri. Friends may call from 7 to 9 P.M. today at the Earp Blue Ridge Chapel. The family suggest contributions to the church.
