Gayle Dean Paker, 81 of Lathrop, MO entered eternal life with his Lord and savior September 2nd, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gayle entered this life March 24th, 1935 the son of Cecil and Rita Finch Parker in Independence, MO. Gayle grew up in the Sugar Creek/Kansas City area and he graduated from Northeast High School. He began in the plumbing industry while still in high school and became a plumber soon after graduation. On October 30th, 1974 he was united in marriage to Doris (Speck) Webb in Kansas City, MO. Gayle was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church and the Plumbers Local #8. He was a life-long bluegrass musician, he loved to hunt and fish as well as woodworking. Later he enjoyed quilting and gardening with his wife Doris. Gayle was a good cook and loved potato salad. Gayle lived in several places including Grain Valley, Lake Pomme De Terre, and Clinton.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents and sons Larry Dale Parker, Joe Hall and an infant son. A brother Harvey Parker also proceeded Gayle in death.
Gayle leaves to mourn his passing his wife of the home, son Gary (Peggy) Parker of Topeka, KS, daughter Sondra Barber of Marshall, MO, daughter Linda (Bobby) Patterson of Blue Springs, MO, daughter Margie Mengel (Beatty) of Turney, MO and a daughter in-law Mimi Parker of Oak Grove, MO. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Larry Ed (Heather), Stephanie (Joe), Jeremiah (Lisa), Jason, Christian, Cody (Abbey), Ashley (David), Nicole (Jason), Josh (Amanda), Jade and Garrett. Eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way arriving in October.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Serving the family and cremation entrusted to Stith Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lathrop, MO.
