Mary Eoff, maiden name unknown, was the second wife of Archibald Eoff, a native of New Jersey. Mary was born in Pennylvania, her children in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana as the family moved west. Archibald was a merchant in Shelbyville, Indiana who died in 1834.

Mary and Archibald were the parents of Margaret Jane (Eoff) Bergen, Mary Ann (Eoff) Painter, Ann Mariah (Eoff) Robertson, Samuel A Eoff, Eleanor (Eoff) Minor and Humphrey F Eoff. Mary was living in Indianapolis with her son, Samuel Eoff, at the time of her death.

Mrs Mary Eoff, mother of Mrs B Robertson and Humphrey Eoff of this city, died at Indianapolis Saturday at the advanced age of 84. Deceased was a resident of this city for a number of years, and has a large circle of friends here who will sincerely regret to hear of her death. Her remains were interred in the city cemetery this morning."

Note:The cemetery readings taken by the Shelby County Indiana Genealogical Society October 1998 indicated that Mary Eoff is in an umarked grave in the Shelbyville City Cemetery.
