Martha L. Hutchison Stephenson, 78, of Jackson, OH, died 9:35 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born July 9, 1930, in Ross County, to the late Albert and Cecil Graves Detty. She married Howard L. Hutchison, who died April 23, 1979, and later married Paul E. Stephenson, who died August 8, 2008.
Surviving are children, Howard E. "Butch" (Linda) Hutchison, Connie (Clarence) Woods, both of Chillicothe, David L. (Cindy) Hutchison, of Ray, OH, Michael A. (Bonnie) Hutchison, of Chillicothe, and Debra L. Hutchison, of Jackson; a stepson, Paul M. (Trudy) Stephenson, of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Carol, Cindy, Jeffrey, Cheryl, Sandy, Jason, Jim, Craig, Tania, Maria, Marisa, Jake, Paul, Leslie, Jennifer, Charlie and Timmy; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard (Margaret) Detty, Norman (Betty) Detty and Neal (Sonja) Detty; and sisters, Mary Newland, Vivian (Bud) Hill and Veda Holton. She was predeceased by brothers, Clifford, Junior, Ronald, Franklin and John Detty; and a sister, Pauline Shewalter.
Martha was a retired employee from the Mead Corp. and was owner and operator of the former White Cow Restaurant for many years.
Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
