Mrs. Ross, 70, Dies; Funeral Set Saturday
Mrs. Nannie Montgomery Ross, 70, of 2233 Greenup Ave., died at 5pm Wednesday at the residence after an extended illness. Mrs. Ross was born Nov. 27, 1893, at Hitchins, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Montgomery and had resided in Ashland since 1912. She was a member of the Twenty-first Street Tabernacle. Surviving are her husband, Frank N. Ross; three daughters, Mrs. Lola Mae Blevins and Mrs. Margaret Brooks, both of Detroit and Mrs. Helen Deskins of Columbus; two sons, Glenn Ross of Ashland and Eugene Ross of Ironton; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Vanhorn and Mrs. Emma Howard, both of Ashland; two brothers, Les Montgomery of Ashland and Beecher Montgomery of Hitchins and 10 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30pm Saturday at the funeral home by the Rev. E.A. Curry and burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
