He was the son of Justice Keeney & Rena May Fowler. His was the brother of Bruce, Ralph, Leola, Lettie, Erma, Letha & Joyce Keeney.

He was the husband of Nina Gridley, father of Doris (Lyons), Kenneth & Walter Keeney.

Mr, Roy E. Keeney, 69, of Wolcott Hill Road, Camden, died Sunday, July 22 at Oneida City Hospital.

A native of Osceola, Mr. Keeney resided most of his life in the Camden area. He retired in 1977 after 33 years with Camden Wire Co. as a wire drawer. Mr. Keeney was a member of the Six Point Buck Club.

Surviving are his wife, the former Nina Gridley; a daughter, Doris Lyons of Gulf Point, Miss.; two sons, Kenneth of Camden and Walter of Blossvale; four sisters, Mrs. Stanley Dean of Redfield, Leola Ewark of Pulaski, Letty Grinnell of
Altmar and Erma Chapman of High Point, Texas; two brothers, Ralph of Pennelleville and Bruce of Holland Patent; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Sanborn-McDaniels Funeral Home, Camden. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
