Services for Allene Moran, 80, of Elkhart will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Elkhart, with the Rev. Floyd Petersen officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Moran died Monday at Home Place in Tyler.
She was born July 30, 1922 in Houston County to John W. and Eunice Clark Ellisor.
Mrs. Moran was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkhart where she helped with the church library.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy G. Moran; five sisters; and four brothers.
Mrs. Moran is survived by her husband of 61 years, C.J. Moran Jr. of Elkhart; daughter, Glenda Starr of Elkhart; son, Mike Moran of Houston; sister, Carty Keen Sutton of Grapeland; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Truman Starr, Curtis Starr, Greg Chapin, Jay Moran, Blake Moran, Garth Moran and Horace Taft.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Elkhart, or to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701.
Condolences will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
