Services for Billie Z. Robnett, 57, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Monterey Baptist Church with the Rev. Carter Pirtle, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Olney, officiating.

Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. in Earth Memorial Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died Saturday, July 18, 1998, in St. Mary Hospital.

He was born Aug. 15, 1940, in Earth and graduated from Springlake Earth High School and South Plains Junior College in Levelland. He also was a graduate of Vermont's Goddard College, receiving both a bachelor's and a master's degree.

He married Judy Etheridge on May 6, 1960, in Earth. He was a federal meat inspector for 25 years before retiring in 1992. He was past president of AFGE Union.

He was a past master of Lubbock Masonic Lodge No. 1392 AF&AM, past patron of University Chapter No. 1082 OES, and a Rainbow Dad for Mackenzie Rainbow Assembly. He was a deacon and member of Monterey Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Edna Robnett of Earth; three daughters, Christi Robnett, Marjorie Reynolds and Penney Metze, all of Lubbock; a sister, Joyce Green of Earth; and a brother, Buddie Robnett of Lockney.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
