Aaron Alfred Brackeen, 88, of Route 3, Elkmont, died Friday at a Limestone County nursing home.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Buford Holt officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Brackeen was a former mayor of Elkmont and was retired from Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Brackeen of Athens; one daughter Laura Louise Brackeen Blair of LaVergne, TN; a sister, Tera Green of West Palm Beach, FL; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
