Union Civil War Veteran Soldier. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he served for the Union Army during the Civil War with the 138th Ohio National Guard Infantry. Ange was mustered into Company E as a Private on May 14, 1864 for 100 days' service. The regiment was not engaged in any battles but served garrison and guard post duties in Washington D.C., West Virginia, and Virginia until they were mustered out on September 1, 1864. Ange returned to his home and later died at his residence in Indianapolis, Indiana.
