He was born December 26, 1912, at
Arvonia, Kansas, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Botkin Sr.
He moved to Albuquerque from Topeka in
1957 and he had lived in Los Lunas since
1960.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Wilkins
Botkin, at home; a daughter, Sharon
Meskimen, Los Lunas; two sons, Merle
Botkin Jr., El Reno, Oklahoma, and Bruce
Botkin, Los Lunas; his step-mother,
Elizabeth Botkin, Topeka; two brothers,
Albert Botkin, Lebo, and Cecil Botkin,
Lexington, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren;
and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m.
Saturday, February 15, at Rochester
Cemetery in Topeka.
