Funeral for Betsy Cox, 83, of Chico was Sunday, Nov. 9, at Hawkins Chapel with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Burial was at Chico Cemetery.
Cox died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at her home. Born Oct. 19, 1925, in Chico to John Q. Sr. and Katherine Lena (Belew) Cox, she was a retired bank teller for Continental Bank in Fort Worth. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack B. and Bill P. Cox.
She is survived by her brothers, John Q. Cox Jr. and wife, Donilla, of Chico and Jimmy B. Cox and wife, Gladys, of Chico and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Larry Cox, Jack B. Cox Jr., Mitch Terrell, Terry Cross, Travis Cox and Roger Beasley.
