Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Shreveport for the Rev, Joseph Norman Vascoe, 71, of 710 Montgomery St., Bossier City, who died Sunday after a long illness. He was a retired minister.

The Rev. Mr. Vascoe was born in DeSoto Parish but lived in Shreveport and Bossier Parishes most of his life.

Rites were conducted by the Rev. Jack Moore and the Rev. Lyle Palmer of Life Tabernacle. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Surviving are the widow; two sons, David and Morris Vascoe; five daughters, Mrs. Charles Ehrhardt, Mrs. Milton Summers, Mrs. L. C. Rains, Mrs. George Horton and Mrs. Glenn Burton all of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. A. A. Passoitt of Center, Texas; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
