Arthur never married. He is buried beside his mother in the Mason Cemetery.

He was a farmer and a land speculator, buying land in Texas around 1895 -1900. He also bought land in Ontario, Canado.

He had a Model A. Ford. He had brass knuckles, which he carried in Texas, which were given to Bob Eckhart.

He went to Ohio with a couple on a farming venture, but returned to Michigan.

He died at the home of his brother Fred.

In the 1880 census his mother, Mary, is living with him.
