Mrs. Mary Avery Foskey, 71, Route 2 Adrian, died in a Swainsboro hospital Thursday, May 20.
Mrs. Foskey was a lifetime resident of Emanuel County and was a daughter of the late David L. Avery and the late Mrs. Fannie Walker Avery. She was married to the late Cornelius F. Foskey and was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Earl Foskey of Merritt Island, Fla., Jack Foskey of Adrian, Gene Foskey of East Point, Phil Foskey of Adrian, and Jere Foskey of Swainsboro; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Kitchens, Adrian; a brother, Ernest Avery, Adrian; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral servives were conducted from Corinth United Methodist Church at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, May 22, with the Rev. Griffin Thompson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge.
