THE REV. A. V. HANFF DIES; MISSOURI MINISTER 50 YEARS
Retired as Evangelical Pastor in 1917; Succumbs at Age of 86.
The Rev. Armand V. Hanff, an Evangelical minister in Missouri for about 50 years, died yesterday at his home, 2310 Miami street, of infirmities of age.
The Rev. Mr. Hanff, who was 86 years old and had retired from the active ministry 15 years ago, was born in Russia and educated in Germany, coming to this country when he was 21. He became pastor of a church at St. Charles and served subsequently at other Missouri towns and in St. Louis.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Schroeter and Mrs. Mildred Kutta, and three sons - John S., Walter W. and Edwin R. Hanff. The body will remain at the home until Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted that afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, Giles avenue and Potomac street. Burial will take place at New St. Marcus Cemetery.
