Services for Winston B. Marshall, 95, of Rogers will be 2 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Paul Moore officiating.
Burial will follow in Davilla Cemetery.
Mr. Marshall died Tuesday, Nov. 4, at his home.
He was born on July 12, 1913, to Rutherford Hayes Marshall and Georgia Anna Smith Marshall in Davilla. He lived in Bell County most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving from 1937 to 1946 in the European Theater and fought in the campaigns of Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes and Rhineland. His decorations include the American Defense Service Medal; the American Theater Medal; the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Medal with four Bronze Service Stars; the Good Conduct Medal and the Purple Heart with two Oak Leaf Clusters. He worked as a farmer and rancher near Rogers.
Survivors include two sons, Henry Marshall and James Marshall, both of Rogers; a daughter, Pauline Mendoza of Rogers; two sisters, Gladys Pugh of Indianapolis and Edith Eilenburger of Lubbock; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
