CRESAPTOWN,MARYLAND -- Francis J. "Fab" Fabbri Sr., 72, of Cresaptown, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.

Born June 26, 1926, in Eckhart, he was the son of the late Lucindo and Benilda (Castellani) Fabbri. He also was preceded in death by five brothers, Olivio Fabbri, William Fabbri, Anthony Fabbri, Marcellio Fabbri, and John Fabbri; and one sister, Lucy Arnone.

Mr. Fabbri was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company after 38 years of service, and he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, was a 38-year member, past President, and Trustee of the Cresaptown Aerie 2883 Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a member of the Cresaptown Sportsman Club.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Charlotte (Schriver) Fabbri; one son, F. Joe Fabbri Jr., and wife, Toni, Cresaptown; four daughters, Debbie Fabbri Fuller and husband Dr. Clayton Fuller, Delmar, Calif., Karen L. Ward and husband, Larry, Frostburg, Kim M. Von Stein and husband, Gary, Kathy L. Pell and husband, Dave, all of Cresaptown; two brothers, Oliver "Ducky" Fabbri and wife, Fannie, Frostburg, Raymond Fabbri and wife Sylvia, Tampa, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Hollie, Chris, Jeffrey, Mandy, Jessica, Garrett, Natalie, Jennifer, Cassie and Nicole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be recveived at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Cresaptown Fraternal Order of Eagles will conduct a memorial service on Sunday at 7 p.m. and a Christian Wake service will follow at 8:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Reginald Russo, O.F.M., Cap. as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.

Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
