Genevieve Arnold, 93, of Rush County, died Oct. 20, 2008.

Born May 17, 1915 in Adair County, Mo., she was the daughter of George and both deceased. She married Harvey M. Arnold Jr. Nov. 9, 1958; he preceded her in death Sept. 27, 2006.

Mrs. Arnold was a secretary several years for Link Belt in Indianapolis. She was a member of Gingham Pals Extension Homemakers Club, past member of the Priscilla Art & Literary Club, active in the State work of Federated clubs, a member of the Little Blue River Church of Christ, and graduate of Eureka High School in Illinois.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Eleanor Arnold of Rush County; several nieces and nephews, Phyllis Neikirk of Houston, Texas, Genniece (Thom) Artu of Fredricksburg, Va., Diana (Mark) Fawley of Roanoke, Ill., Terri (Tim) Lanier of Washington, Ill., Glenda Malcom of Indianapolis, Sandra McGhee Yancey of Bloomington, Ill. J. Michael McGhee of Roanoke, Ill., Barbara (Carl) Harcourt of Rush County, Mary Roller of Rush County, and Leslie Arnold Harrington of Iowa City, Iowa; many loving caregivers; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brother, Erby D. McGhee; sister, Vauniece Handell; brother-in-law, Clarence "Jake" Arnold; and nephews, Carl McGhee and John Arnold.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with John Skomp officiating. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rush County Community Foundation, Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana (John Arnold Award) or the donor's favorite charity.
