Funeral services for Alford Percy Rose (1872-1961), 89, who died at his home last evening, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Evergreen Cemetery in Belmore with Rev. John E. Strickland officiating. Rose was a retired railroad engineer and a veteran of the Spanish-American War and World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Mertie V. Rose; five sons, A.P. of Memphis, Gerald of West Point, Miss., and Irvin, Addrain and Glenn of Hollow Springs, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. ViVia Moseley of Nashville and Mrs. Gladys Jones of Hollow Springs; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Johnson-Davis Funeral Home is in charge.
