Mrs. Rose was born November 1, 1927, at Maitland, W.Va., a daughter of the late Isaac Belcher (1888-1963) and Minnie Helvey-Belcher (1890-1962).
Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Richard Rose (1927-1993) whom she married on September 13, 1947 in Roderfield, McDowell County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, McDowell County, WV, 1947, Page 331, Application Date: September 10, 1947), and five sisters Louise Belcher (Deceased), Cynthia Belcher (Deceased), Virgie Belcher (Deceased), Rachel Belcher (Deceased), and Thelma Belcher (Deceased); and two brothers, Jesse Belcher (Deceased) and Basil Belcher (Deceased).
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Lee Rose and his wife Redis of Pineville, W.Va.; one brother, Jim Belcher of Howard, Ohio and one sister, Bonnie Belcher-Matthews of Morgantown.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday and at the Calfee Funeral Home in Pineville, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home in Pineville at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow in the Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
