Agustus Washington C Skinner and Martha Beale Shearer Skinner were the parents of William Ferris Skinner. He was born in Okolona, Chickasaw County, Mississippi. He moved to Panola County, Texas in 1882. He married Virginia Elizabeth Barnett in 1888 in Gladewater, Texas. They brought their family to Oklahoma in 1904. They were parents of ten living children, two deceased and possibly others. His death was the result of an automobile accident two weeks earlier.
