Grace is my 2nd Great Aunt and my Great Grandfather George A. Elder's youngest sister. But on February 20, 1920 while on a trip with her husband, Russell Donald in New York City she became infected with the Spanish Flu and she died at the Staten Island hotel they were staying at. Grace was only 27 years old. She also had a little baby daughter, Dorothy who was only 1 1/2 years old when she lost her Mother. Dorothy was back home in Lynn, Massachusetts with my 2nd Great Grandmother Martha Wright (Brundage) Elder who was taking care of her at the time.
