Joan Willers Kiefner was born on October 13, 1933 in Pleasantville, New Jersey. She left this world on October 26, 2008 after battling ill health for many years.
Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, she leaves behind to mourn her passing daughter Leslie, brother Rudi, nieces Bonnie, Beth, nephew Wade and her many friends. Predeceased by husband Richard (Dick) G. Kiefner, sons Brian and Kevin and parents Rudi and Elvera Willers.
Married Richard (Dick) in 1952 in Baltimore, MD, settling in Southern California in 1955. They moved to Kaysville in the early 60's. She considered Kaysville "home", spending the happiest years of her life raising a family. They moved to El Dorado Hills, CA in 1978, residing at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Fair Oaks, CA for the past two years. Her love of animals, especially dogs, was well known by all. She greatly enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, shopping and playing the organ. She had a terrific sense of humor, was a voracious reader and was highly intellectual.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Miller's Funeral Home, 507 Scott Street, Folsom, CA at 7 p.m.
Graveside Services and burial to be held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. in Kaysville City Cemetery in Kaysville, Utah.
