Heart Failure Claims Victim at Riverside
RIVERSIDE, April 21 - Falling from a soda fountain seat in a local drug store late yesterday afternoon, Peter T. Rubidoux, employee of the City Water Department and a grandson of Louis Roubidoux, founder of Riverside, was dead when attendants reached him. Death was believed due to heart disease.
Rubidoux, who was 58 years of age, entered the drug store, presumably to get a drink, but dropped to the floor just as he reached the fountain. Dr. T. A. Card was called, but Rubidoux was dead when the physician arrived. Mr. Rubidoux had been an employee of the City Water Department for twelve years and prior to that time was employed by the Riverside Water Company for eighteen years. He lived at 1636 Pachappa avenue, and besides the widow, is survived by five children, Richard and Lucy Rubidoux and Mrs. Sadie Holmes of Riverside and Albert (Ad) and Clarence Rubidoux of San Bernardino.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
