Harry H. O'Grady
Harry H. O'Grady, 63, past state president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, died Tuesday morning at St. Charles Memorial Hospital. A Bend resident for the past 45 years, he made his home at 1015 Ogden Ave.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at the Tabor Funeral Home chapel.
Self employed most of his life, Mr. O'Grady operated an excavating contracting business. He was married to the former Reta Chute, who survives, Jan. 17, 1928. He was born Dec. 18, 1908, at Kent, Wash.
He was a past president of the Bend Eagles Lodge, and was the current chairman of the order's state by laws committee. He moved to Bend in 1926 from Hermiston.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Thomas O'Grady, Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Kathy Tiller, Bend, and Mrs. Barbara Phillips, Tacoma, Wash., and six grandchildren. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Ford, Dayton, and two brothers in California: William O'Grady, Livermore, and Roy O'Grady, Salinas.
The Rev. Aloysius McKenna of St. Francis Catholic Church will officiate at the funeral. Concluding services and vault interment will follow at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
The family requested that friends who wish to make memorial gifts do so in the form of contributions to the Max Baer Heart Fund in care of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 121 Greenwood Ave., Bend.
