"John (Alva) Brakeall, 73 of 205 First Street, Dravosburg, died early today in McKeesport Hospital after a long illness. He was born Aug. 6, 1883 in Knox County, O. and had resided in Dravosburg for most of his life. He was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose P. Brakeall; two daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Owston of North Versailles Twp., and Mrs. Louise Opperman of McKeesport; two sons, James and Walter Brakeall, both of White Oak; a sister Mrs. William Hasson of White Oak; seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Finney Funeral Home in Dravosburg beginning at 7 p.m. today. The Rev. Harlan A. Shively will conduct services there at 2 p.m., Thursday and interment in the Fairview Cemetery will follow."
He died on his son John's birthday.
