Mrs. Vera James 74 of Rt 1 Coffeyville died early Thursday morning at ther home.
She was born June 19, 1900 at Cedar City, Utah the daughter of Robert & Margaret Ann (Shertz) Adams. She spent her early youth in Cedar City.
In 1919 she married Fred Hoopes at Cedar City. He died in 1920. On October 27, 1924 she married Lether Ball James at Cedar City. They moved to Coffeyville immediately after their marriage. He died on February 23, 1973.
She is survived by three daughters Mrs. Ray Freda House of Liberty; Mrs. Robert Lela Maye Estes of St Charles, MO; Mary Ellen James of Endicott, NY; two sons EJ Jimmy Jones of Mission Hills, CA; Lee James of Tulsa, OK; and two stepsons: Frank James & Harold James both of Corcoran, CA; one brother Wayne Adams of Santa Monica, CA; one sister Mrs. Golda Johnson of Santa Monica; eight grandchildren; four step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; & two step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday in the Ford Funeral Home with burial in Robbins Cemetery.
The family would welcome memorials to the Montgomery County Heart Fund. Contributions may be made at the Ford Funeral Home.
