and Annie Scifres and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August
12, 2014.
She was raised on her parents farm and was one of eleven children, all of whom
she has now joined for a full family reunion in Heaven. She married Jesse
Bartley on August 28, 1942 and was blessed with 5 children. A quote that
captures Geraldines spirit is that she was unstoppable not because she did not
have failures or doubts, but because she continued on despite them. She was an
extremely hard worker, talented seamstress, phenomenal Sunday school teacher,
and a wonderful cook, especially her banana pudding and chocolate drizzle cake.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Bartley, special son, William
Cooper, and daughter, Sherry Page.
We will forever remember her strength, courage, orneriness, and great love for
each of us. We will never forget the lessons she has taught us throughout the
years and the many precious memories that will live on with us. The famous Mema
Stories have touched so many lives and brought joy to everyone who has heard
them.
Services will be held at The Barnes and Friederich Funeral Home of Midwest City,
Thursday, August 14 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens,
Midwest City, OK.
