Blanche was born Blanche Rena Crowell. She was the 3rd child born of 4 children to Myron Lorenzo Crowell and Larena 'Rena' Bates in Michigan.
On December 24th, 1916 Blanche married her childhood neighbor Roy Jones. They had 4 children - 2 of whom would die in childhood. Blanche and her husband Roy would live nearly their entire lives in Michigan, before moving to warmer weather and sunny skies in Sierra Vista, Arizona with their daughter, Mary and her husband Alton.
