Orren Pearse Labrum, age 77, died on January 6, 1990 in Sandy.


Born February 11, 1912 in Bennion, a son of Thomas Orren and Evelyn Mae Pearse Labrum. Married Wanda Hemingway on August 8, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, she died on April 16, 1982. Married Reita Anone Spackman on November 5, 1982, in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church, served as Superintendent of Sunday School, President of Young Men's Mutual, and Gospel Doctrine class teacher for many years. He was the first employee of O.C. Tanner Jewelry Manufacturing Co., where he worked for 40 plus years.


Survived by his wife, Reitah, two sons, one daughter, Orren H., Salt Lake; Joseph H., Orem; Mrs. David (Patricia) Butts, South Ogden; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three brothers, and seven sisters, Mrs. Eileen Poulsen Ogden; Mrs. Evelyn Hoskins, Mrs. Velda Pearson, Mrs. Marie Breinholt, Mrs. Janet Breinholt, Holladay; Mrs. Avon Rich, West Jordan; Mrs. Mavis Williams, South Ogden; George and Gerald, Bennion; Kent, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a brother, T. John.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at the Union 27th Ward Chapel, 1834 East Creek Road. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and on Tuesday at the Church one hour prior.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
