Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday at her home.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1917, in Dowagiac. She was a teacher of Potowatomi Indian language during retirement. She was factor worker for Ben Hill Griffin in Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Moses Graverette, whom she married on September 17, 1974, in South Bend, Indiana, daughters, Valeria Baker of Sister Lakes, Mi, Lucinda Graverette Smith: son-in-law, Gregory Smith of Dowagiac: Four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Stevens, Rose Agusta, Johanna Weesaw, Susie Pokagon, Theresa Morseau, and Margaret Alexis; and a brother, Mark Alexis.
