My grandfather Morgan Dingman was born in Sprakers, Montgomery Co., NY. He worked hard to take care of his family. He worked delivering coal to the train station. Later, he worked for the town of Canajoharie for a creamery. Morgan and his wife Mable had thirteen children, seven sons and six daughters. Their son Arthur, died soon after birth. I don't know where he is buried.

Family members claim Morgan was part Native American through his mother, Martha Hart. All census records and Martha's death certificate lists her race as white. I need to do research on my great grandmother Martha's parents.

Morgan's cause of death was due to a stroke, which left him blind and paralyzed on one side. My mother traveled from California to New York to be with him. He died in an Amsterdam hospital.

I didn't get to meet my grandfather, as he died before I was born.

A special "Thank You" to Noname for sponsoring my grandfather's memorial. God Bless you.
