Hazel L. Blackmore, 81, of Sublette, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Satanta Long Term Care Unit.

She was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Granada, Colo., to Jasper Newton and Mabel Edith Owens Raner. The family moved from Colorado to Sublette in 1934.

On Nov. 24, 1946, she married Paul H. Blackmore in Sublette. He died March 29, 2008. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Edith Peterson; a half sister, Nettie Bond; and a half brother, Virgil Owen.

Mrs. Blackmore was a homemaker and also helped in the Haskell County Sheriff's Office for 26 years. She was a member of the Christian Church at Sublette and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Funeral was at the Christian Church, Sublette. Burial was in Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette.
