It has pleased almighty God of his great mercy to call unto Himself the soul of Oltmann O. Leenerts, son of Oltmann R. Leenerts and Helena Daniels Leenerts. He was born on September 21, 1887 and received into the Trinity Lutheran Church through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on October 2, 1887 by Pastor Herman Stentz.

Mr. Leenerts had lived on the Leenerts homestead near La Prairie until 1944 when he and Mrs. Leenerts moved to Golden. He had served several terms on the La Prairie High School Board. While he had been under a doctor's care during the past three years he had been active and his sudden death was unexpected.
