William's Obituary Read as follows (transcribed precisely as in the original newspaper): "William B. Michael, whose death at Soldiers' Home, at Hampton, Va., was announced in the TIMES yesterday, was 73 years of age. He was born in Lancaster, and after living there for the early part of his life, moved to New Holland, where he married. After remaining there for a short time, he came to Reading, where he worked at his trade, as patternmaker for Schrader & Kline, P. & R. car shops and a number of other places. During the war he served in Co. C, 99th Pennsylvania volunteers, for a period of four years. He resided in this city for forty-eight years, until he went to the Soldiers' home."
