Find A Grave contributor Stone Branches: Funeral services for Viresa Vivian Ward, 78, were held at two o'clock Monday afternoon from the Schroeder Mortuary in this city with Rev. Herbert Crawford of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment was in the Catching Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward passed away, Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Hathway. Born on November 29, 1879, in Douglas County, Mrs. Ward had spent nearly her entire life in the Myrtle Point area.
Survivors are; Everett, Roseburg; daughters, Mrs. Homer Sigsby, Auburn, California.; Mrs. Vern Liggett, Coos Bay; Mrs. Peter Dolan, North Bend; Mrs. Herbert Hathaway, Myrtle Point; Mrs, John Morris, Port Orford; sisters, Mrs. Alice Muetzel, Grants Pass; Mrs. Lawrence Buchanan, Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Florence Sumerlin, Myrtle Point; brothers, Ed Carter and Cecil Carter, of this city; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
