A. J. Fansher died at his home, 639 North B Street, Feb. 5, 1917, at 9:35 p.m., at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 28 days, of apoplexy. He was born April 8, 1840, in Indiana, but has lived in Iowa practically all his life. He was a member of Company D, First Iowa Cavalry. He is survived by a wife, two sons, Lee M. and J. B. Fansher, and one daughter, Mrs. John B. Ryan, all of this city. Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at 2 p.m., from the Cheesman Funeral Home. Interment in Olivet Cemetery.
